Faerie in the Garden

About a month ago Tui asked me to make her a doll. She wanted it to have a blue mohawk!
I have rarely tried doll making before but thought I could make a basic rag doll.

I used the same pattern I used to make the Bunny, but left off the ears of course.

Well she turned out ok...Tui loves her.

I was a bit disappointed, she's a bit out of proportion.

I decided that next trip to the library I'd have a look for a doll making book and hopefully get a better pattern.

I did find a doll making book, an absolutely beautiful one that takes you step by step through the whole process.

And here is my first Pixie doll...

 I love her! She has gone to a good home :)
And now I am in the middle of making more Faeries... I think this is my new obsession...for awhile.
