I have been thinking about how some people distinguish between "real" friends and "online" friends. I guess it could be because the internet is a relativly new part of our lives and for alot of us, if we've been spending what we feel is too much time on-line, we feel the need to retreat to "real" life. So we create the distinction between "real" and "virtual".
The thing is that the people we are friends with on-line are very much real people. They also can be very good friends. Although we may never meet with them personally they are in our day to day lives and in our thoughts. The community and support and love we give each other is as valuable as any "real" friendship.
So I just wanted to say thank you to all my real internet friends. I love and value you all.
