Rainbow's End

The last couple of weeks we have been painting the house, plastering, finishing the kitchen and we almost have it all done. We will be putting the house up for sale soon.
It is a bitter sweet time. So great that we have achieved what we set out to do in the time we set ourselves to do it but it will be sad to leave here. When we first moved in we set ourselves the goal of fixing up the house and reselling it in five years. We have been here just over four and a half years now so we have done pretty well. The plan was always to sell this place and buy a bigger acerage with a nice swimming hole.

Now we are not sure what our plans will be when the house sells. I guess we will see what happens. It is exciting to take a leap into the unknown but it is also a bit scarey.

I will be especially sad to leave my gardens. The fruit trees we have planted which have all begun to bare fruit this past year. And all the memories associated with the place. Tui was born here, Mr T has spent most of his life here.

I was thinking that if we are to leave Rainbow Love Farm maybe I would have to end this blog, but the more I think about it I realize Rainbow Love Farm is not a place it is the way we live, who we are.

So even though we will be here for awhile yet the farm will one day be on the move...

Oh wow! I don't think I could imagine leaving our place, both the bublets were born here and we are just getting started on our garden plans. But then we have always intended to stay :) You are right though, it isn't the place that makes Rainbow Love Farm, it's you and your family - wherever you are, that's where RLF will be! Lots of hugs oxox

Unfortunately we still rent so we move too often and fruit trees are but a dream. I do know that change is good and it " just keeps getting better". Enjoy your search for a fabbo place with water hole. Shall I bring my cosies?

definitely! We'll have a house warming party down by the creek:)

I was thinking today that it is probably a good thing that we have rented for so long because I too would have trouble leaving a home that has seen so many memories. I thought of friends whose chidlren were born at home and how hard it would be to leave that house. But I agree with you that the memories and the individuals and all the wonderful, and not so wonderful, things shared together are what makes Rainbow Love Farm or any other family regarldess of where we live. As someone who lacks a constant 'home' I like to think of my family and the earth as my home, everything else is material.

Good luck! I hope your new adventures bring you as much fun as the farm did. I would also be sad to leave such a wonderful garden! Hugs xoxoxo

Aw ... this post made me cry. We too have been in our current home for about 4.5 years as well. So I can somewhat relate. Good luck to you guys on your new journey ... sending out positive vibes to the universe for you. It's for sure exciting yet kinda scary at the same time. Buckle up & enjoy the ride :)
P.S.
Glad you're keeping your blog :)

Thanks Erin.
Yep, I'm glad I'll still be blogging, I think I'd kind of be lost without the blog world these days and all the great people I know here
:)
