Driving home I had the idea that maybe I could knot pieces of the ribbon around a piece of elastic to make a faerie skirt. So this morning I cut heaps of ribbon and started.
It turned out so cool. I love it. And Tui loves it too!
makes a great dancing skirt.
And now Rain wants one too. So I have an order for one to be made in purple and black and then I think why should I miss out? So I'm off to make more skirts :)

so cute! I don't suppose I could get one? Happy to pay?!
I recently saw a tutorial on these and am in the process of making two for my girls. I saw that you were a follower on my old blog, Our Suburban Homestead. You can now find us at

I am loving your blog and look forward to learning more from you.
Oh I am jealous!! When I made mine I had to make it from big sheets of tulle, so had to cut it all into ribbons first!
You definately have to make yourself one, they are so much fun for mummas!
Beautiful! I was going to say crochet crochet crochet! (I was seeing little bags and headbands!) But I am just a little crochet mad right now! The skirt is adorable!
That's a fantastic idea! I always see tulle ribbons at op shops and I pass them up because I don't know what to do with them. Well I do now!
Ooooh that looks so much easier the cutting strips from big pieces of tuille! I have a rainbow tutu, and am about to make some for my nieces for Christmas, maybe I should price if the ribbon tuill would be cheaper!
Very pretty~!
gorgeous!
TY, I'd love to make one for your DD. What size is she?
Karisma, I didn't think crochet...and that's very strange for me because I too am a bit of a crochet nut ;) great idea.
Thanks everyone
