Only five sleeps...

We've been busy here over the last week. It seems to always be busy in the lead up to christmas. I went xmas shopping and all I can say is I'm glad that part of it is over. We are staying home this christmas (instead fo visiting the family)which will be nice. No driving...yay!

It's been so hot this week I relented and let the kids turn the air conditioning on. I don't usually use it because I hate the waste of energy of these over-used appliances. I also don't like having all the doors and windows closed. It's so stuffy.

But mostly we have been swimming to cool down. It's a very lovely Summer...

B is in spain right now with his daddy, K and C are having lunch at his mams this year, J and N are at their dads right now but coing home tuesday and R is supposed to be with her daddy this year. He hasn't made any plans though so i've said that he can come for dinner so i can have her here with mme. There's only R now who still believes in the magic and i'm sure it'll be the last year for that so having her here is worth anything. I'm still struggling to find my seasonal goodwill but i've been really ill for the last couple of weeks. The finishing line is in sight but i've not even started yet - Aaagghhhh! - but i'm sure we'll muddle through and get there in the end anyway. Bright Blessings to you and yours, you could send some of that heat over here if you like, it's either freezing or rainy, wet and windy. Ho hum, don't i moan a LOT!!! Srry about that hun, btw, the kids're as adorable as ever xXx

I stumbled upon your blog in a search of unschooling, and it's quite interesting! I find it so hard to believe that in some parts of the world it's summer, when I look out the window and see the several feet of snow that's covering everything!

The river looks like loads of fun! I agree we don't use the airconditioner much either. I hate being shut up inside.

Im still not ready for xmas. I meant to go out today but we have surprise cousins staying at my aunts who also did not do their shopping. Today they dropped one of the kids off so I stayed home. What a slacker I am, should have had it sorted weeks ago.
